Proud Eagle Scout

Back again with my latest project. My cousin David has recently become an Eagle Scout in the boy scout program. I had mentioned to my Aunt that maybe I could draw a portrait of him in his uniform and she jumped all over the idea. She sent me a picture of him outside their house in his uniform but he was in a bit of a rush out the door and didn't put it on the correct way and so when she saw it she requested that I fix it... so I did so... hopefully without anyone being able to notice lol I also wanted to make it more symbolic of the situation so I found a stock image of a flag and put it behind him-- covering the patriotic side of it. Then I found a gorgeous Eagle stock image and added that to the corner. I'd never drawn an eagle before so I was a bit scared about it. I spent a long time on this piece and put a lot of effort into making it something my aunt would be proud to display on her wall and something my cousin might treasure in a few years. So this is what we ended up with. Hopefully everyone will like it, his ceremony is in a few weeks, I intend on framing it between now and then and presenting it at the ceremony!

Size - A little larger than usual. 11X14 on white pastel paper.
Used - My trusty carbon pencils - 6B and 4B only
Time - Quite a while. I started on Aug 22nd and now it's Sept 13th and I worked on it *every* day... kind of wish I had kept an hour tally lol But I didn't
