As for the piece, it's of my husband. It was taken while he was in Afghanistan. I really loved the picture and had never done something so technical, i.e: the gun. It took a lot of hard work and patience but I managed to pull it off. I learned a little bit about it, too. I would be like "honey, look, I finished that funny looking doo-hickey" and he'd explain to me what it *really* was. Gotta love him lol Boys and their toys.
Used - 4B-6B Carbon pencils (still feelin' the love after all this time ) and a lot of love
Time - Forever.... About 4 months
It ended up being my husbands birthday present. It's currently off being framed as we speak and hopefully it'll be back by Sunday, which is his birthday, and also mine Hopefully he loves it as much as I loved creating it.

the shading is superb, lighting, everything.
You captured the elements very well
you've out-done yourself this time i think!!
I love the hint of glint on the glasses and his braclet. There's something very personal about that and I don't know what.
seriously Kristen, it's a great drawing. you've done a very good job on textures, and the shading couldn't be better. well done!
